On March 24,2012 Hernando Lodge 51 F&AM hosted a luncheon at The Desoto Shrine Club pavilion at 2888 Gwynn Rd to recognize the efforts of volunteers undertaking documentation and preservation of the Springhill Historic Memorial Garden. The Masons, Shriners, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Rainbow Girls and Mississippi Widows Sons Grand Chapter were invited, as well as officials and volunteers.
